BIA leverages its expertise in plastics and electroplating technology to develop high-quality consumer products. The focus was on exclusive PS5 side panels with real-metal surfaces. The challenge was to unite and address two distinct target groups—design-oriented aesthetes and performance-driven gamers—within a clear brand strategy.

An open brand strategy

R211 entwickelte auf Basis einer fundierten Zielgruppen- und Positionierungsanalyse die Marke B:OWND. Die klare, offene Markenidee richtet sich an Nutzer, die sich bewusst für individualisierte Produkte entscheiden. Gleichzeitig schafft der Name die Grundlage für eine skalierbare Markenwelt über das initiale Produkt hinaus.

For the brand launch, naming, Claim, logo, and a flexible Corporate Design were developed. The visual identity combines high-quality, pared-back design with expressive elements for attention-grabbing applications. In parallel, a brand architecture was defined that enables consistent integration of different product lines and variants.

With B:OWND, an independent consumer brand was created, clearly positioned between function and emotion. It enables BIA to enter a new market and provides the foundation for independent marketing, separate from its previous industrial context. The brand is designed to strategically support future product developments.
